400-500kg/h Self-Suction Cumin Powder Mill Test and Deliver

Our SLU-600 hammer-type universal powder mill has been successfully delivered to a spice processing plant for making cumin powder. The unit employs a self-suction feed design and an hammer cutter system with 22kw grinding power. Together with a cyclone dust collection system and pneumatic discharge, the design ensures cumin powder passes through the outlet without clogging inside the rotary airlock. Factory rice testing confirmed stable operation. The customer accepted the machine and it has been dispatched.

I. Self-Suction Feed Improves Material Intake

Feeding processes for powdered materials usually include gravity feed, a screw conveyor, or a vacuum conveyor. The SLU-600 uses a self-priming suction design with a stainless steel suction pipe that draws cumin seeds directly into the grinding chamber, reducing extra equipment and manual handling.

II. Cost-Saving Hammer Cutter for Medium-Oil Cumin and Coarse Output Size

Cumin has medium oil content and is prone to heat buildup and sticking during grinding. The customer sought for a cost-saving powder grinder for oil spice powder making. So we suggested the hammer cutter type SLU-600 universal powder grinder, with a lower temperature rise than other cutter design. The output size is mainly 10-40mesh, meeting the customer’s requirement.

III. Powder Output via Pneumatic Discharge Prevents Clogging

Cumin powder tends to compact and may cause blockages in the discharge section. This unit is equipped with a cyclone dust collection system; the cyclone outlet uses a pneumatic discharge gate rather than a rotary airlock valve, allowing powder to discharge smoothly and reducing the risk of clogging in the valve chamber.

IV. Factory Rice Test Verified Equipment Performance

To verify grinding effect and machine reliability, the factory team tested the SLU-600 with rice before shipment (the testing video was shown below). The test confirmed stable feed, consistent grinding, and smooth material output. The customer accepted the machine after the test, and it is currently on its way to the spice plant.
