Roasted Sesame Grinding Test - SLRG-20 Roller Mill Achieves 20-30 Mesh
By:Salinovate Team Sep 11,2026
This month, we carried out a roasted sesame grinding test using the SLRG-20 roller mill equipped with two pairs of grinding rollers. The test shows that most of the ground sesame powder can reach 20-30 mesh range, with an observed capacity of approximately 200-300 kg/h.

I. Testing Background
In fact, we recently received an inquiry from a customer looking for a powder grinder machine to grind roasted sesame seeds. The required final product was roasted sesame powder with a target fineness of approximately 20-30 mesh, and the required production capacity was about 200-300kg/h.
Roasted sesame contains a relatively high amount of natural oil, roller type grinder is suitable for grinding such high oil materials into coarse powder. So we used the stocked SLRG-20 model roller mill to check whether this specification could be achieved with our roller grinding technology.
II. SLRG-20 Roller Mill Test
The SLRG-20 model roller mill has two pairs of grinding rollers, reducing the sesame progressively through the grinding gaps. The roller settings were adjusted for the requested particle size, with the test focused primarily on achieving the 20-30 mesh range. We recorded the sesame grinding testing video as you can watch below and concluded the grinding results for you in the following sheet.
Item Name | Remark |
Tested Material | 5KG roasted sesame seeds |
Testing Device | SLRG-20 model roller mill: 4kw motor power, 2 pairs of rollers |
Fineness Range | 10-40 mesh(the adjustable fineness range for roasted sesame seeds) |
Grinding Capacity | About 200-300kg/h for 20-30 mesh sesame powder |
In this test, we can see that the roller type grinder with two pairs of rollers can produce encouraging results: most of the ground sesame powder reached the required 20-30 mesh range, and the working capacity of the SLRG-20 model can reach the required 200-300kg/h.
III. Conclusion
For roasted sesame and other oily food materials, we recommend evaluating the actual raw material before finalizing the grinding equipment. This test shows that the SLRG-20 roller mill with two pairs of grinding rollers is a suitable option for the tested roasted sesame application. At a target of approximately 20–30 mesh, most of the tested product reached the required fineness, with an observed capacity of 200-300 kg/h.
If you have roasted sesame or other food materials that need to be ground to a specific particle size, Salinovate team can carry out an application test based on your material and production requirements.
