I. What Is Rotary Cup Filling Sealing Machine

 

Rotary cup filling and sealing machine—perhaps you are not yet familiar with this equipment. But you must have seen the dazzling array of yogurt cups, chocolate sauce, cheese sauce, sugar vinegar sauce, and more in supermarkets. This machine is specifically designed to fill food into such cup-shaped containers. Below is a detailed introduction.

II. Working Principle and Components

 

You can imagine the rotary cup filling and sealing machine as an efficient and precise food packaging carousel. Its core lies in a continuously rotating disc (turntable). As the machine runs, the cup is precisely fixed on the container seat around the turntable, following the rhythm of the turntable and passing through various workstations one by one, completing the transformation from "empty cup" to "sealed finished product".

 

1) Accurate cup serving system: This is the starting point of the journey, divided into two forms.

 

-Fully automatic cup dropping device (mainstream choice): composed of pneumatic components and cup storage racks, it can automatically and accurately place stacked cups one by one into the container seat of the turntable.

-Manual cup placement: suitable for small batch, flexible production, or scenarios with special cup materials and shapes, relying on manual precision placement.


2) Filling system: This is the core that determines the filling accuracy and adaptability, especially for sauces.

 

-Piston type quantitative filling (recommended for sauces): By precisely controlling the stroke of the plunger through a servo motor for quantitative filling, high-precision filling of ± 1g can also be achieved for high viscosity and granular sauces (such as chili sauce). -For sauces that are prone to clogging, large-diameter filling heads can be used.

Pneumatic piston filling: It is also a reliable choice for dealing with sauces and viscous liquids, with an accuracy of ± 1%.

 

3) Coating and sealing system: Cover the cup with a lid to ensure sealing.


-Roll film form: Using rolled sealing film, the cost is relatively low and it is widely used. However, during the punching process, there may be slight burrs on the thin film at the edge of the cup mouth.

-Film form (high-end choice): The robotic arm automatically grabs the pre cut film for sealing. The advantage is that the sealing edge is smooth without burrs, and the appearance is more exquisite, but the cost and maintenance requirements are also higher.

-The sealing system itself adopts an independent temperature controlled hot head, which can accurately adjust the temperature according to different materials (aluminum foil, composite film, etc.) (common range 0-300 ℃), ensuring that the sealing of each cup is tight and firm.

 

4) Cup dispensing system: the endpoint of the journey.


The sealed cup is smoothly pushed out of the mold by the top cup mechanism and sent to the next collection or packing process through a short conveyor belt.

 

5) Command center: The "brain" and "nerves" of the entire equipment.


Usually, Omron brand PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and servo motor system are used to achieve human-machine interaction through a touch screen. Production parameters can be easily set and adjusted, and various fault diagnosis prompt functions are available.
